Gayle Sachs

I am a Melbourne based abstract artist. I work with varied media – oil, pastel, sand, plaster, household and recycled materials, on canvas. I’m drawn to working in a space where the obvious is undercut by other possibilities. In a sense, the material and my own experience are unravelled and woven in a series of decisions until I feel that I’ve reached a balance between prescribing and allowing interpretation.
